Kuoksa Husky & Snowmobile Adventure

 Ride a snowmobile through the snowy Lapland forest, then take the reins of your own husky sleigh and warm up with open-fire salmon soup in a traditional teepee. Two classic Arctic experiences in one adventure, with a cozy break in between.


Start your adventure with about one hour of snowmobiling along snowy forest trails. Before you set off, your guide gives you detailed instructions on how to safely operate the snowmobile, so you can enjoy the ride with confidence, whether you are a first-timer or traveling with the family. The speed, the quiet and the pristine Arctic scenery make this a ride to remember.

Then it’s time for a break. Step into a traditional teepee and warm up by the open fire. A bowl of hot, open-fire salmon soup with rye bread and butter is a true taste of Lapland, and the perfect way to recharge before the next part of the adventure.

Next, switch from engine power to a team of eager huskies. On the 5 km self-driven husky sleigh ride, the huskies pull you along the snowy trails of the Kuoksajärvi Forest at an energetic pace, and the quiet sound of the sleigh gliding over the snow makes the ride feel special. Your experienced husky musher shows you how to safely mush the sleigh, and you get to meet the huskies and learn about them along the way. Two classic Arctic experiences, one adventure.     Exclusions
      Please note
        • Product may be cancelled or rescheduled if the group size is smaller than 4 persons, or smaller than 6 persons on public holidays
        • Product may be cancelled or rescheduled in case of extreme weather conditions. The temperature limit is -35°C. For small children, the limit is -25°C for safety reasons
        • Due to bad weather, for safety reasons, the husky tour can be arranged as a shortened guide-driven experience
        • You must be 18 years or older to drive a snowmobile
        • If you want to operate a snowmobile, a driver’s license is required. This does not apply to passengers (i.e. twin drive passengers or passengers in sleighs, e.g. children under 18 years of age)
        • Maximum self-liability with the snowmobile is 900 €. You can buy a waiver for 25 € online or on the spot, then the self-liability is 250 €
        • When booking a twin drive snowmobile, book 1 ticket per person. Twin drive = 2 persons per snowmobile (e.g. 4 people = 4 tickets, 2 snowmobiles)
        • If the child is 140 cm or taller, they can be seated on the snowmobile paying the adult’s price
        • If the child is shorter than 140 cm, they must be seated in the sled pulled by the snowmobile, which is driven by our guide
        • Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult paying the full price
        • Not suitable for children under 3 years old
        • Infants must not sit on laps
        • Not suitable for pets
        • Please be ready outside at your confirmed pick-up location a few minutes before your scheduled pick-up time
